José Luis de Jesús Miranda

There are a slew of people who have claimed to be Jesus Christ over the years; even Christ himself, according to the people who nailed him to the cross, was an impostor, or false prophet. This particular flavour of “I think I’m Jesus” is Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda; he refers to himself literally, as the ‘Christ Man Jesus’. Usually, believing oneself to be Jesus is not the entire story; almost everyone who has claimed to be the son of the Christian God, usually includes some twist to their story, such as “facts” of their enlightenment that have no historical or Biblical documentation, –that way these special circumstances can be neither proved, or disproved.

In this case, Jose Miranda considers himself to be not just Christ, but also the Antichrist, and has the “number of the Devil” tattooed on his arm, –666. However, Miranda asserts that the Antichrist is not evil, that instead, the term means “no longer following Jesus of Nazareth as he lived in the days of his flesh”. His followers have begun showing their support by also tattooing the 666 onto their bodies. Miranda, or De Jesus as he prefers, “the Jesus”, also has made claims that there is no such thing as sin, and has also asserted that the only true path is to instead follow the teaching of Apostle Paul, as well as rejecting the Hebrew faith traditions.

The current opinion is that De Jesus is a con man, which is not only based on his controversial claims about who he is in regards to the religion, but also because he has stated that the youth in his faith are a “super race”, and are “untainted” by religion. Both Christian and non-Christian groups have condemned him as a sham, because of his statement that “Miami is where the Hispanics are” and also because of his angry protests against Christian gatherings.
